Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

tory of a shape is a gallery installation which confronts two gazes: the gaze of the gallery visitor and the gaze of a videocamera mediated via a TV screen. Both are attracted towards room corner where there is a strange shape which is partly created by light projection, partly by a shadow and partly by black tape. From the viewpoint of the camera, it takes shape of a equilateral triangle. From the viewpoint of the spectator, however, the image is much more complicated, both in shape and in structure. The difference in materials that form individual sides of the triangle is barely visible on the TV screen. Nevertheless, the human eye can distinguish between the saw-toothed shape of line created by digital projection, the smoothness of gently blurred shadow cast by a pole placed in the way of the projected light, and the black tape bridging the corner.

In line with festival outlines it discusses and reflects the problems caused by approaching social issues from a singular standpoint.
