visual communication practice
Description of idea
Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the
festival outlines:
The idea of my concept is comparing dialogue from old times to today, realising that the world we live in now is completely different to what it ever has been, and that is because of technology taking over our habits and social intelligence, pretty much breaking up the way we communicate with people.
What kind of communication approach do you use?
The issue I have approached in my concept is quite personal. I am quite an emotional person so when i come to realise how much the world is changing in dialogue its very shocking and somewhat distressing to look at how people are these days.
What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of
your communication?
I believe that my campaign gets people thinking about the "now" because of the comparison between now and then, realising that how dialogue and intimacy is now isn't how it should be, and never has.
What did you personally learn from creating your submitted
work?
I have always had a strong personal appraoch to my concept, but never really expressed it through design or art for people to look at, so that was really got me thinking when taking the photos and putting them together.
Why is your work, GOOD communication
WORK?
My work is good communication work because it is straight to the point, its bright, its self-explanitory, its bring attention, its intimate and it comes from the heart of someones thoughts and beliefs
Where and how do you intent do implement your
work?
The Billboard, Poster and Photograph will be displayed out in the public of streets, freeways, buildings (where ever it can be exposed)
Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe
the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change
other media with your work-
how?)
I think the billboard has an effect because of the brightness and contrast in the design, the red has more of an affect on peoples emotion.
