Inder Salim
Born in Kashmir,
Inder Salim has been producing conceptual and performance based work for over
25 years. He currently lives in Delhi and has performed in Europe Japan and
India. Inder Salim uninhibitedly mixes genres like poetry, photography,
painting, architecture and sound with Performance Art, to push cultural
boundaries and aesthetic norms...
Inder Salim was responsible for curating a series of performance art events known as Harkat@Sarai in Delhi. In 2010 he organized the Art Karavan International, an open ended interactive process that travelled for over two and a half months through 9 regional cities in North India with 30 odd participants from India and abroad. Together Inder Salim and Silke Kaestner organized Kashmir Point Charlie which sought to develop working possibilities for artists in Germany and Kashmir during 2012-13. Inder Salim is also a featured artist in 'The Art Cities of the Future' , 2Ist Century Avant Gardes, published by PHAIDON
