Nikola Janović

Dr. Nikola Janović, sociologist and cultural critic, independent researcher and Memefest collaborator. His theoretical and practical research mostly focus on contemporary studies of culture and society, issues regarding theory of ideology and biopolitics. He has been research associate at the Department of Sociology, at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana and research associate on different projects. In the past years he has also doing project researches focusing on new forms of life, communication and mobility, crisis of social cohesion, cultural flows, cultural experiences and multiculturalism across the European city spaces. He was postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Sociology, at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. Up to now, he has published several articles. Now he works on two books for publication this year wile he is finishing his postdoctoral project "Socio-cultural perspectives on food in everyday life". In 2010 he co-founded biopolitical platform LABTP (Laboratory Art Biopolitics Theory Practise). ...but he still wants to become le chef cuistôt-un philosophe when he grows up.
