Description of idea
Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:
poster "advertisingNOW" illustrates the purpose of modern advertising strategies - today, advertising doesn't have a goal just to recruit a consumer, but also to stereotype him according to characteristics of a product.
with its content, advertising today has a goal to straight consumer's brainwaves / to make them straight just like barcode lines are straight.
because of that advertising invasion, and because of producing fake needs, consumer gets into debt crisis and becomes advertising victim.
What kind of communication approach do you use?
i used simple graphic, a shape based on stilisation of two objects - brain and barcode, and i put it on coca-cola red background, because coca-cola red is probably most famous and most recognisable color in the world.
What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?
people will probably think a little bit about their shopping and credit cards addiction on one side, and real needs on another.
What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?
i learned to think a moment before i fill shopping cart with needless things which lead to financial debt.
Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?
because it is simple, message is clear and it is based on the actual problems of our society.
Where and how do you intent do implement your work?
my artwork could be located near shopping centers in form of posters and billboards, on book covers, etc.
