Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

I have constructed a free, social dining experience that promotes healthy eating, buying from local producers/suppliers and generating a community network stronger and more interwoven than ever imagined.

To reclaim some of the ownership of our food system we need to be united in our cause, and there is no better way to do this but over a healthy delicious spread of food.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

I have utilised a number of visual elements to aid the promotion of this event, all made from recycled materials. A flyer, poster, website and social media / radio. These are all influenced by a traditional style of invitation and utilise a complimenting colour palette.

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

This is one part of a large scheme to roll out to all communities with the aim of helping people take responsibility of what they eat and where they are getting it from.

If successful this will be a template for other area's to follow, although many area's may need customisation to suit their needs.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

That it may be possible to get a large community interested in food, what it is and where it comes from.

I also learnt a lot about the true cost of food that I was not previously aware of.

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

This is great communication because it doesn't just have a message, it encourages people to talk about it while enjoying some great local food.

It is a clear message and gets straight to the point.

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

I intend to have flyers delivered to people in the communities letter boxes, poster's will be placed in central locations in the community including but not limited to, town hall, local cinema, and local businesses that want to be a part of this event.

The actual event will be held in a park of the community in question. With long park benches used to encourage social interaction.

Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)

No It is has had no effect on media.
