Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

Following the lines of the manifesto, I have created a metaphor that translates the "poisoned gift" that large corporations such as Monsanto, are offering to our society. To realize this idea, I turned to the image of the wicked witch offering a poisoned apple. This apple looks tasty, despite the hidden perversion of the genetic manipulation. Also, the attention signal and the text are suggesting a reflection on the origin of the products we consume and the democratic power we have in our hands of choosing different solutions and understand that there are alternatives.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

I used a universal and objective language with the reference of the wicked witch and the poisoned apple, which is part of our childhood. Concerning colors, I applied a contrast between cold colors like blue to represent the obscurity, and warm colors like red to represent danger and yellow to represent the disease. At the background, I designed asymmetric vectors to give a sense of movement. Regarding the lettering, I wanted it to be easy to read and interpret.

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

I truly believe that my project will trigger a reflection on our personal choices regarding food, the origin of products and encourage research on the reality that many are unaware of.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

Personally, I improved my knowledge about the impact of genetically modified food on our health.

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

My work is a good communication work because the message sent, is clearly understood in the way that I intended it to be understood. The message is clear and straight.

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

I intend to share it on my social networks and also with major global organizations and movements such as GAIA, that are fighting against the corporations that control our food systems, so that they can share it on their social networks and also print it.

Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)

This project was developed to MemeFest and is not yet been shared on other media.
