Subfield description

My work exaggerates the size of a chicken that has been fed with hormones. The chicken is roasted so it looks like an appetizing dish. The booklet placed in front the 3D object is simple and informative on hormone fed chicken and the effects from eating them. The large chicken placed in a random public place or classroom is to attract people to approach the object and read the booklet.

Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

The idea came from eating a chicken in the United States that did not taste right and yet the size was bigger than the average chicken. The concept of the work is to get people to think before they eat a chicken and be aware of the taste difference between normal and hormone fed chicken.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

The kind of communication approach I am using is leaving the object at a public place or class with a booklet for people to look at and read.

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

I think it will make people think about what they are going to eat and be aware of the risks if they keep consuming meat that has been fed with hormones.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

I learned that there are many considerations to take in order to send out a message to the audience on how it's going to be effective, attractive, and interesting or will it be offensive? I also learned that it was going to be challenge on how to get the audience to believe the message and think about it.

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

It is good communication because there isn't too much information and the message is simple with a little bit of humor in the start of the booklet in order to get readers engaged.

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

I intend to implement my work in a public place such as classroom where people can pass by to see a large object that looks like a roasted chicken and read the booklet to see what is about.

Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)

No it has not had an affect with the media.
