Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

I have created a sticker that will be stuck on food products that claim to be 99% fat free or contain '10 different grains' when in fact, they also contain a high amount of sugar.
CAUTION contains Diabetes, is straight to the point and in your face, advertising the concept that these products are NOT good for you.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

I have created a visual sticker with both words and simple imagery to get my point across.

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

My promotion of diabetes is being put forward to possibly make people a bit more aware of what is actually in products that claim to be healthy and possibly get the audience to actually read what it is in the product rather than just take the false advertisement that is on the packaging.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

I learnt about the statistics on diabetes and just how unaware people are of what is actually in our foods especially the processed foods.

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

My stickers are very straight to the point and anyone can read it and understand the message that is coming from this visual message.

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

This work will be seen on products in supermarkets, general stores, on signs advertising 99% fat free products and seen within your home cupboard.

Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)

no
