Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

There needs to be new dialogue in Australian society, too much is that of recycled, manufactured opinion garbled over social media or so strongly represented by a bias, so much that some citizens believe it to be true, without considered thought.

The power of questioning is underrated, and those who do so get cast and put aside, categorised as conspiracy theorists, cowards, lefties or even worse pejoratives.

The power to question but still remaining open is a very rare trait in society, and its something we don’t often talk about. We are constantly fed information as opposed to offered, and indoctrinated to think a certain way. We have politicians that don’t represent us to their fullest, government confidentialities and big corporate slowly taking over.

The aim of this campaign is to encourage the younger generations, or more specifically the current young adult generation – gen Y – to speak up, question things and be the generation to challenge the norm.

Follow the hashtag positive skepticism for a movement of radical dialogue.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

- Youtube Video – viral, circulates through social media etc. - Print Posters to accompany video, and bring the conversation offline - Online Posters to accompany video

That there is an amazing abundance of quotes and of course people and movements attached to them.

It has an emotional pull, it's personal, it's short and sweet.
