Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

a definition of dialogue is "conversation between two or more people, in relation to the brief i wanted to retrieve that definition as it is a conversation between the people. My campaign is to make the awareness that people are on there phones more then 150 times a day, even when there are multiple opportunity to talk to a partner/friend.

the idea was to advertise a logo in selected cafés, restaurants, shopping centres and retail stores on board, people will be enticed and/or encouraged to refrain from taking out their phones every so often. Posters and logo approved places, people will learn that the company is on board to the campaign "Switching off
to switching on". Surely, it will be challenging but the benefits to the consumer and the intended
outcome will bring attention to society about their unhealthy anti-social habits. This campaign will
include an initiative to reward a discount or voucher to the assumed target audience who ceases to
take out their smart phone during their entire visit.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

Posters, stickers and billboards, as my brief is against the social media and these technologies, i wanted to keep it strictly manual media nothing digital

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

Hopefully the campaign will be an on going thing, and will constantly remind people to put down their phones and enjoy life.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

being a person who has the same problem of constantly resorting to my phone, i have learnt to put it down, talk to people, engage with dialogue and not get blinded with the device "24/7"

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

my work is GOOD communication because, its getting people to wake up, and spend less time on their phones.
with a reward with that, people will get involved and "join the dialogue".

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

With the placement of large posters in stores with accompanying logo to advertise it, with the addition of stickers, buttons, billboards it will get the message across

Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)

to an extent yes, it is getting people to think twice about using there phones, to think that they are missing out on daily life. effect on media as people will use it less.
