Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

In one of my classes, the professor told us to submit a work to this festival. He made the instructions more specific by giving us articles about pleasure. We were instructed to create an image to accompany the article in a magazine. I chose an article entitled 'The Science of Mmm: How food and drink tickle the brain’s pleasure centers.' The article explains what goes on in your brain when you experience pleasure in relation to food. My work focuses on this specific instance in which pleasure is experienced.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

I used the approach of visual explanation, basically creating a diagram to show what the article discusses.

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

Honestly, I am not sure that this work does much for society as a whole. However; I believe it is beneficial to a certain audience. If it was actually placed in a magazine with the article, it would provide a quick way to understand what the article was saying.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

I learned a lot about ideation while creating this work. I came up with countless ideas trying to communicate what I wanted to say. This final image is much more effective than my first idea, so I know my ideation process paid off.

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

I think this is good communication work because it is clear, easy to follow, and has multiple levels of hierarchy.

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

As I previously stated, I intend for this work to accompany an article in a magazine.

Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)

No
