Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

As people get involved with debt they don’t realize that they may end up with a disaster. Most people lack the right management skills that are required to get the benefits of debts without its very dangerous aspects, and eventually end up buried with more, and more unwanted debts.

The idea behind my work is to emphasize the dangers of accumulated debts in which a simple loan can bury the person and lead to more debt. The money sack represents the banks, organizations, and even people that offer money loans or debts. The “Dollars” or debts seem to flow easily out of the sack piling on top of the person. This shows how easily loans and debts are handed out, but the debts compiling shows the burden as a result.

Most people usually take debts with the intention of getting out of older debts. Having said that, debt can be considered dangerous in most forms, but the most dangerous type of debt is the debt supposedly taken from other organizations in order to get rid of previous debt. The debts in red symbolize those types of debts and portray them as the most dangerous.

Even though debts are compiling over the person, he is stilling trying to reach out and look for help. This is the case with most loan takers, but it’s the type of action that counts. The best way to get out of loans is definitely not by asking for more loans. It’s by dedication, hard work, and asking professionals for advice.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

A Visual communication that utilizes symbols to explain the idea in a creative and symbolic manner. Mainly, concentrating on the main characteristics without getting into the details.

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

It might serve as a wake-up call for people who are considering debts as a solution for their problem, if it doesn’t deter them from that it would at least highlight that they should have good management of debt and should avoid taking debts to pay previous debts.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

I have learned more deeply about the dangers of debt, the seriousness of this issue and how advertisements persuade people to over debt. Also, how these practices should be eliminated.
