Description of idea
Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:
Advertisement are everywhere in our daily life, no matter where we go and what we do. And all the message from those Ads are telling people to purchase more and more things that maybe not necessary for them.
And I am mainly focusing on the the finance companies' ads in Hong Kong, they create an image of "it is very easy to pay your loan back", and encouraging people to borrow money from them and spending on something like traveling, buying expensive clothes, and accessories like phones etc. Which are 'helping' to create debt.
What kind of communication approach do you use?
I am trying to keep things simple and easy to understand.
What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?
Make young people aware of the message they get from the advertisement maybe totally different as their imagination. And also for the designers to think about what should they do.
What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?
It is the first time I am working on something "anti-commercial". This is a great chance for me to rethink what graphic design is, and what should a graphic designer do.
Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?
i have no idea
Where and how do you intent do implement your work?
schools, and posting them by myself in public areas in the future if possible.
Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)
