The pleasure of hospitality is something that can never be underestimated . I commend you on your proposal for an inclusive and sustainable space for people fleeing persecution.
Have you considered introducing ways that the aboriginal communities can welcome asylum seekers to the community? Also the planting of indigenous species as companion plants as a metaphor for the hospitality and the potential for ongoing relationships.
I would encourage any designer to not "end-game" when its comes to creating space for underpriveleged and disadvantaged people. There can sometimes be a tendency to think that people who have nothing will be appreciative of anything.
These people have been denied so many funddamental rights and i feel like design consultation, choice and variety are integral to inclusivity and integrity within the design space.
