Curators Comments

Antonio Rollo

I am former curator of Michele because he is a student in the Academy of Bari. So I decided to treat his job to make clear this bond.
Michele is a vegan and as such has developed a radical awareness of the consumer society. The food, unquestionable source of pleasure, has paradoxically become the creative space of an industry that tends to compensate for the pleasure of "healthy food" with pleasure “ready food." Aware that the "junk food” is the leading cause of death among people and animals, Michael has chosen to "prepare his food." A choice that can be accomplished quickly, like click on an interface button.
Focus puts in a symbiotic relationship real and virtual, city and digital data, individual and social network. One can delete with a click the food that is discarded, thrown without being eaten? This is the question posed by Michele. He answered yes.
