Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

With the banks pressuring towards even bigger indebtedness in todays insane battle to achieve more profit, there also grows a huge gap between a small number of very rich and powerful and a much bigger population which gets poorer and poorer.
When we hammered the coins to facilitate the merchandise and trade we didn´t even suspect that one day the money will have the power over us. In time we became like small change in the hands of the powerful.
We were thrown to the well to bring luck to someone else.
Worthless, disempowered, we have worth only when there are many of us.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

A multimedia ambience installation which uses an object in space that mechanically moves a substantial number of coins and a video installation in loop made in stop animation technique where figures shaped out of coins (value: one lipa) march in a continuous chain while in space a pile of coins bounce under their steps making them march.

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

An attempt to visualize, demonstrate and critique the failure of the neoliberal capitalist society. The coins of small value such as the coins of 1, 2, 5 and 10 lipa, individually as pieces of money, take the role which they share with an ever growing part of the population which now has no value as people, extremely pauperized and left living below the level of social minimum which the today´s level of the human development could and should be able to secure for them. Enormous mass of capital melts towards a small number of individuals, elite, which controls it in a way to gain even more profit, not considering the complete devastation of humans, society and nature.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

I was especially surprised in the technical aspect which I used to experiment in this piece. I used the sound in a way that its reproduction becomes a mechanism which moves the coins inside an object situated in the space and then the same coins again reproduce the sound mechanically by clinking onto each other and become a mechanical audio which accompanies the video.

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

I consider this work to be a good communication work because it transmits a paradigm of todays profit and bank rage in a perhaps dark and ambiance but also in a clean and direct way. It also induces auditive and visual senses in a different and unusual way.

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

My work has already been shown in three exhibitions, twice in Splite and one time in Zagreb:

A part of my work was also presented as a photography on a jumbo poster of a civil association for development of the modern art KVART as a part of their project „Kalendar“

Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)

This work is a direct crossover between the media of the moving image, animation, installation and ambiance installation. Also, a still photo taken from the video installation was shown as a jumbo poster in Cista Provo as a part of an art project of a civil association for development of the modern art KVART (Split) and will appear in their next years calendar. Daily papers and Web portals also commented on my work:
